Low Alloy Steel Welding Electrode

J556

GB/T E5516-G

AWS E8016-G

 Description: J556 is a low alloy steel electrode with low hydrogen potassium type coating. Both AC and DC can be used, and can be welded in all positions. The performance stability of AC welding is slightly inferior to that of direct welding.

Application: Used for welding medium carbon steel and low alloy steel structures such as Q390.

Notice:

1. The electrode must be baked for 1 hour at 350℃ before welding operation;

2. It is essential to clean up rusty, oil scale, water, and impurities on welding parts before welding;

3. Use short arc operation when welding. The narrow welding track is proper;

4. Connect the electrode to the positive pole when operation on DC.
