Low Temperature Steel Welding Electrode
W707
GB/T E5015-G
AWS A5.5 E7015-G
Description: W707 is a low-temperature steel electrode with low-hydrogen sodium coating. Use DCEP (direct current electrode positive) and can welded in all positions. The deposited metal still has good impact toughness at -70°C.
Application: Used for welding low temperature steel such as 2.5Ni.
Chemical composition of weld metal(%):
| C | Mn | Si | Ni | S | P |
| ≤0.08 | ≤1.25 | ≤0.60 | 2.00 ~ 2.75 | ≤0.020 | ≤0.025 |
Mechanical properties of weld metal:
| Test item | Tensile strength Mpa | Yield strength Mpa | Elongation % | Impact value (J) -70℃ |
| Guaranteed | ≥490 | ≥390 | ≥22 | ≥27 |
Diffusion hydrogen content of deposited metal: ≤6.0mL/100g (glycerin method) or ≤10mL/100g (mercury or gas chromatography method)
X-ray inspection: I grade
Recommended current:
| (mm) Rod diameter | 2.0 | 2.5 | 3.2 | 4.0 | 5.0 |
| (A) Welding Current | 40 ~ 70 | 70 ~ 100 | 90 ~ 120 | 140 ~ 180 | 170 ~ 210 |
Notice:
1. The electrode must be baked for 1 hour at 350℃ before welding operation;
2. Try to use small line energy when welding, multi-layer and multi-pass welding.
