Description: A412 is a Cr26Ni21Mo2 pure austenitic stainless steel electrode with titanium calcium coating. It can be used for both AC and DC with excellent operating performance. Because molybdenum is added to the deposited metal, its pitting resistance, heat strength and crack resistance are all improved compared with A402 and A407.

Application: It is used for welding heat-resistant stainless steel working under high temperature conditions, and can also be used for welding stainless steel linings, dissimilar steels, etc. It has better crack resistance when welding carbon steel and low alloy steel with high hardenability.

Notice:

  1. The electrode must be baked for 1 hour at around150℃ before welding operation;
  2. Because the penetration depth is shallow during AC welding, the DC power supply should be used as  much as possible to get deeper penetration. and the current should not be too large to avoid redness of the welding rod.
