AWS E6011 welding electrode is type of cellulose potassium, which is used for vertical down welding. Both for AC and DC welding. It adopts advanced foreign technology and has excellent welding technological properties. The length of ARC should be controlled in a reasonable range. It is not proper multilayers welding and cover welding.

Application

Welding rods AWS E6011 it is suitable for welding vessel structures such as buildings and bridges, storages tanks, pipes and pressure vessel fittings.

FEATURES:

Quick-starting efficiency

Superior arc drive

Slag detaches easily

Excellent wetting action BENEFITS:

Easy arc striking, ideal for tacking

Excellent penetration

Quick clean up

Smooth bead appearance, reduces cold lap and undercutting

TYPE OF CURRENT: Direct Current Electrode Positive (DCEP) or AC

RECOMMENDED WELDING TECHNIQUES:

Arc Length - Average length (1/8” to 1/4”)

Flat - Stay ahead of puddle and use slight whipping motion

Horizontal - Angle electrode slightly toward top plate

Vertical Up - Slight whipping or weaving technique

Vertical Down - Use higher amperage and faster travel, staying ahead of puddle

Overhead - Stay ahead of puddle and use slight whipping motion

Attention:

1. It is easy to expose to moisture, please keep it in dry condition.

2. It needs heating when package breaks or moisture absorbed, heating temperature should be between 70C to 80C, heating time should be from 0.5 to 1 hour.

3. When using 5.0mm welding electrodes, it’s better to use high-thrust, low-current, in order to enhance welding performance.
