Welding Rods AWS E7018 is a low hydrogen iron potassium powder coated carbon steel electrode. Iron dust in the coating increases the deposit rate. It has very good usability that allows it to have a stable arc, little spatter, slag removal is easy and welds in all positions. The deposited metal has good mechanical properties offering very good low temperature toughness.

Notes:
1. The electrode must be preheated at the temperature of 350°C for 1 hour. Preheat the rod whenever it is used.
2. The impurities such as rust, oil stains and moisture must be cleared off of the work piece.
3. Short arc is required to perform welding. Narrow weld path is preferred.
Attention:
- The electrode must be re-dry by 350℃-380℃ for 1 hour before welding.
- The rest, oil, water and other impurities of the weld area must be removed before welding.
