AW DURMATIC H-10

Point identification: ORANGE

DESCRIPTION:

Electrode for hard coatings on new or worn pieces of steel, manganese steel or soft iron. In parts or components subjected to high abrasion. Use positive electrode direct current (CDPI), deposits with high hardness from the first bead, supports up to three layers of easy application due to its austenitic base and a soft arc. chromium carbides, beads of good appearance and ease of slag detachment.

APPLICATIONS:

This product is very easy to apply and is used in the construction industry, in crushing and moving earth and rock machinery, to recover, protect and give equipment of this kind a longer useful life.

In industry in general, it is suitable in a large number of typical cases of wear due to severe abrasion and medium impact, for example: sand mixers or abrasive materials, sliders, cams, shafts, shredders, cutters, mills and extrusion equipment, etc.

It is used as a final layer on other coatings or welding mattresses.

ADVANTAGES:

Of the group of coating electrodes for high abrasion, it is the one with the easiest application, slag removal and arc stability, its high hardness is due to the fact that it has a chromium carbide base, for great resistance to wear, due to severe abrasion and medium impact. . Flat deposits with a good finish, free of pores and very easy slag removal; This alloy is recommended when it is not possible to deposit more than three coating beads since it has very little dilution with the base metal, thus achieving a high hardness from the first bead.

WELDING TECHNIQUE

Before applying the alloy, make sure that the piece to be coated is free of oxides, grease or layers of fatigued metal, etc. Once the base metal surface is clean, proceed to deposit straight beads or in such a way that the oscillation of the electrode do not exceed three times the diameter of the same. Clean the dross between passes; when finished allow the piece to cool slowly.
