Description: AF2553-16 is a nitrogen-containing duplex stainless steel electrode with titanium-calcium coating.  It can be used for both AC and DC with excellent operating performance. Because it contains molybdenum and nitrogen, and the carbon content is extremely low, the deposited metal has good crack resistance and corrosion resistance, especially stress corrosion resistance.

Application: It is used for welding duplex stainless steel with a chromium content of about 25%, such as 022Cr25Ni7Mo4N, 03Cr25Ni6Mo3Cu2N, UNS 32550 (Alloy255), etc.

Notice:

1. The electrode must be baked for 1 hour at around 250℃ before welding operation;

2. Use DC power supply as much as possible, and the current should not be too large to avoid redness of the welding rod;

3. Before welding, remove oil, rust, scale, moisture and other impurities on the surface of the welding parts.
