ER321 Stainless Steel Welding Wire / TIG Rod

Short Description:

ER321 is a titanium-stabilized 19% Cr / 9% Ni austenitic stainless steel welding wire designed for GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) processes. The addition of titanium prevents intergranular corrosion caused by chromium carbide precipitation when exposed to service temperatures in the carbide precipitation range of 425°C to 850°C (800°F to 1500°F).

1. Description

2. Applications

  • Welding titanium-stabilized austenitic stainless steels of similar composition (e.g., AISI 321, AISI 321H, 1.4541).

  • Fabrication of high-temperature equipment, aircraft engine exhaust manifolds, expansion bellows, pressure vessels, and chemical process piping.

  • Suitable for continuous elevated-temperature operating service up to 800°C (1472°F).
